Crisp air, cozy sweaters, and warm baked goods...sounds like FALL is here!
As we transition to the cooler weather, here are great ways to use this season's favorite fruits to spice up your beauty routine:
Apples: Teeth whitener - chew apples to whiten teeth and boost oral health. The crunchy texture of apples stimulates saliva production and gently scrubs away plaque while the malic acid removes stubborn stains.
Cranberries: Brightening toner - mix 1 part pure cranberry juice with 2 parts witch hazel and pat onto clean skin. The astringent and antioxidant properties in this toner will brighten the skin and shrink large pores.
Pumpkin: Moisturizing face & body mask - mix pumpkin puree with raw honey and plain yogurt. This mask is full of Vitamin A (healer), Vitamin C (rejuvenator), and Zinc (essential mineral) to give you wonderfully healthy and moisturized skin.
Bonus: Pumpkin Spice Lip Plumping Balm - mix pumpkin puree with a dash of cinnamon and vanilla extract.
Cinnamon: So this one isn't quite a fruit, but it's an awesome ingredient anyways! Stinky feet? Tired feet? Make a soothing cinnamon foot bath by mixing 1/2 cup salt and 3 tablespoons cinnamon powder or 2 sticks of cinnamon into warm water and soak for 15-30 minutes. The cinnamon has antibacterial properties that tackle the smelly bacteria and increases blood circulation to relieve muscle aches.
Stay warm and happy fall!
